Meet “Rojo,” or affectionately known as “Rojito.”

(that’s “Red” in Spanish – hey, we’re having a hard enough time finding a name for a small human, so we can forget getting all creative and cute in naming a fish. But at least we didn’t name him “Nemo” or “Fishy” or “Splashy.”  Sorry if any of you have named your fish one of those.  We were gonna let Eddy name him since he’s her fish, by picking the first thing she said about him when she saw him, but since it was “Wow!” and then “Beautiful!” we decided that it would just confuse her to tell her that we were going to feed “Wow” or that she would just start thinking of fish whenever she heard the word “Beautiful.”  So, “Rojo” it is.)

I was shocked.  I was convinced that we were having a girl.  I had planned the nursery (it was going to be so cute, and so fabulous!), we had a girl’s name, and I had a ton of little girl clothes from when Eddy first lived with us and still wore baby clothes.  So, I’ve had to re-work my brain a little to re-think everything baby girl, and start thinking boy.  But I am SO excited that there is a little guy in there.  Oh, and you can only imagine how the father feels about all this…he said all along that it was a boy.

I thi...
