Things I’ve learned lately

The saying “9 months up, 9 months down” is just a cute thing to tell new mothers.

I have a love/hate relationship with my scale.  Currently we are in love.

Babies will always be attracted to cords and computer towers.

Nothing makes a tired parent jump up faster than  a baby with a cord almost in their mouth.

Cleaning out your closet can be very therapeutic.

Babies who can stand up in their crib take longer to fall asleep.

The stomach bug doesn’t always have to hit everyone in the house.

Having church in a school gym with no nursery makes a mobile baby (and his mom) very antsy.

Drama was more fun in high school than now.

I no longer care if people can hear me singing.

You can, in fact get a tan if you wear sunscreen.

It took me an extra long time to figure out how to spell “sunscreen.”

The 10 day week

Did last week feel really long to anyone else?

Not bad long, just long, long.  Looking back to last Monday, I just can’t believe it was only a week ago.

Last Monday we sent our housemates on a date to Universal Studios.  We had gotten 4 “Rain Day Return” passes, which had to be used within 30 days.  They expire this Sunday, which I personally think would be a really fun time to be in Hollyw0od (Oscars), if it wasn’t on a Sunday.  Anyways, so we sent them off while we cared for their three kids, 5, 3, and 18 months.  They kept asking us if we were sure, or if we really knew what we were getting ourselves into...
