If my blog were to have a theme…

…It’d be one word: BUSY!

I feel like that’s all I write about lately, how busy we’ve been.  We recently went through a season of life that I’d like to say we won’t again, but I know that the rest and reprieve that we feel right this moment is a gift from God to help us build up our strength for another round.

Since I last wrote, we moved into our new little condo.  It’s so perfect for us right now.  2 bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, everything feels open and close to each other, and it even has a little office area off the kitchen for Nathaniel’s support raising adventures.  The place is practically brand new and feels very clean.  Jeremiah loves it and feels very safe in here since we are always so close by.  The kitchen has everything we need it to have, well, at least now it does.

Behind the Scenes

This weekend was MTW’s Global Missions Conference.  They only come once every three years, so it’s a pretty big deal when it arrives, and this year it was held in Chattanooga!

We, of course, were excited to attend and see all of our dear MTW people.  Although, I have to say, the introvert in me was a little nervous to have so many people who I knew, not only in the same location, but in MY city!  But, I got over it and was able to put on a big, and genuine smile and carry on conversations, and make jokes, and tell people about our ministry, and even get a few college girl excited about possibly serving down there short term.

Southern Living

I grew up as a northwest girl.  And then for a while, I was a California girl.  And now, I’m a southern girl?

Living in the south has been a lot different from being a student in the south.  I’m not sure I was given the full advantage of southern living when I was at Covenant.  I mean, I had my encounters, but nothing compared to this full-time business.  And so far, it’s been pretty fun.  And sometimes entertaining.  And sometimes….a little frightening.

For instance:

Walmart: I consider myself to be a Target kind of person.  But since the only Target around here is 30 minutes away, and there’s a Walmart on every corner, we’ve found ourselves in the land of “Great Value.”  And so we shop there now...
