YouTube Shows and Movies
Check out this new YouTube site:
TV shows and movies, (Crackle, CBS, MGM, Lionsgate, Starz). Best of all ALF:
One more – I couldn’t help myself:
April Fools Pranks for your loved one’s computer.
If you haven’t enabled labs like “attachment reminder” or put a new background on your gmail, you’ve probably never heard of Gmail Offline. Either that, or you got the floot from Adam.
I think my favorite thing about google and apple is that they give me what I want before I know I want it. It is so frustrating to sit in class or somewhere without internet and be unable to access information online. I dislike downloading through outlook – that is sooo old school, and besides what else am I supposed to do when someone interrupts class lecture to inquire about how a particular point applies to (insert random hard-to-pronounce philosopher’s name here).
Best thing is, it is just a minor add-on to gmail’s already great lab features.
Check it out:
Gmail Offline
Whenever we take a long trip, we bring along some audio books that make the trip fly by. Here is a site that gives you that luxury for free. It can be hit or miss from what I’ve heard (they are volunteer readers), but if you’re persistent there are some solid narrators out there.

Sorry for the hiatus, finals are killer. Here is a site that lets you listen to the music you want when you want.
Thanks a lot. It would’ve been nice if Google had released this a little earlier so I could have added it to my last google post, but it probably deserves its own space anyway. If they do things right they’ll be able to pull the Skype community off that sometime terrible software, and give us something stable to communicate with. Let me know how you guys like it….
Click here for a quick summary of how to work it:
Google offers a lot of great stuff. Here are my all time favorites (many of you will already be familiar with some of these – let me know your favorites – any from the labs that I don’t know about yet?)
Goog 411 – Free 411! 1 800 GOOG 411 - Absolutely the best tool I have on the road.
Gmail – the best email service ever – I still don’t understand why people are still using hotmail or anything else for that matter.
Google Chrome – I’ve posted this before, but it is the only PC browswer that doesn’t crash constantly
Google Docs – Good for collaborative efforts
Google Alerts – Searches the internet for news about anything you ask it to (try making one for your name)
And of course Google Maps – wouldn’t leave home without them:
Hmmm seems like I use Google a little more than I thought I did.
I realize that most people may already know about this, but those who don’t will now be able to save themselves a few dollars by downloading this free program rather than buying from the microsoft man.
Open office is pretty similar to Word, Excel, Powerpoint and lets you open documents that have been saved in those programs.
